Sharp Building, Hogan Place, Dublin 2
About this project
The Sharp Building is a spectacular example of modern commercial architecture suitable for accommodating any global organisation.
This exceptional landmark statement by the McGarrell Reilly Group will comprise of 4,157 sq m of modern Grade A office space set over seven floors, transforming the streetscape of Hogan Place in Dublin.
Working on a new build presents unique and different challenges to a refurbishment or upgrade project. As specialist electrical contractor for the redevelopment of the Sharp Building in Hogan Place Dublin, we were responsible for the delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of all new electrical services.
The new build project involved the construction of a new office development and plant space following the demolition of the existing 4 storey building and part basement area. The electrical installations consisted of a complete ‘Category A’ office fit out of landlord and tenant services.
Our site installations helped the Sharp Building achieve a coveted Platinum level Wired Certification for its best-in-class internet infrastructure, the highest possible level achievable by international connectivity accreditor Wired Score. This certifies the Sharp Building as one of the best buildings in Ireland for broadband and telecoms infrastructure.
We are also working in partnership with the entire construction team to target a LEED Platinum Certification which incorporates a broad spectrum of sustainable principles to achieve an A3 BER rating for the building’s energy performance.
