Drogheda Train Station

The buildings at Drogheda Train station date back to the 1850s, when they were constructed following the opening of the nearby viaduct. When contracted by Iarnród Éireann to replace and upgrade lighting at the maintenance depot, MDE were able to demonstrate the high quality of our workmanship and every facet of our level of expertise in working in a live site environment with no disruption to service. MDE were contracted to replace and upgrade all existing lighting in the four maintenance pits. We also removed and disposed of all redundant light fittings and equipment. We installed and modified cable containment for all wiring for lighting systems, new light fittings, and control arrangements. We supplied and installed all required light fittings including emergency light fittings to ATEX requirements and completed the testing and commissioning of all systems.
