Welcome to our extraordinary venture at Castle Leslie Estate in County Monaghan, where we embarked on a remarkable project of grand proportions. Our prestigious initiative entailed a multifaceted approach, including the creation of a magnificent 18-bed extension spanning two floors, a meticulous revitalisation of existing bedrooms, and a comprehensive upgrade of the estate’s electrical infrastructure. Nestled within 1,000 acres of picturesque Irish countryside, Castle Leslie stands as a testament to both history and natural splendour. Adorned with ancient woodlands and glistening lakes, it is a true jewel nestled in the heart of Ireland. Remarkably, Castle Leslie remains in the care of its founding family, preserving its legacy as one of the last great Irish Castle estates still held privately. Today, Castle Leslie Estate represents the epitome of luxury and refinement in Ireland, and we, at MDE, are honoured to have played a pivotal role in its substantial investment and ambitious restoration endeavours.

Challenges and Complexities

• Throughout the course of the works, the existing hotel remained fully operational. 
• Access to the site was strictly controlled, with dedicated site access routes being agreed with the hotel and the works being secured from the general public, hotel staff, and guests. 
• Due to the everyday running of the hotel, there were restrictions on noise throughout the site at certain times, which were agreed with Castle Leslie Management.
•  Electrical Services included new LV distribution, Installation of new 800kva Generator, general and emergency lighting, general power, fire alarm, TV distribution system and PA/music system, access control, disabled refuge CCTV, data cabling, telephone systems, and external lighting.
• Our works ensure the preservation of all existing interior decorations, fixtures, and fittings within this listed 1660’s building.
