Broadstone Depot

Broadstone Station, in North West Dublin City, was originally the location of the old Midland Great Western Railway headquarters and was their mainline terminal in the city. As Principal Contractors on this project for Iarnród Éireann, we completed an upgrade of all electrical services throughout the depot, including its offices and garages. Our work entailed replacing life-expired electrical installations, infrastructure and life safety systems to comply with current regulations and achieve fire certificate status. Our proven expertise and ability to operate in a live working depot with vehicles passing through and requiring maintenance every day and our ability to minimise disruption was key to successful delivery and completion. The MDE Team managed this with solid communication and careful planning.
