Graduate / Junior Quantity Surveyor

Job description

· Preparing & Submitting monthly valuations

· Take off primarily Electrical Works but role will incorporate full building packages scope

· Tracking and Monitoring Variations

· Submitting variations with adequate substantiation

· Building up Variation Back Up off drawing changes

· Prepare and manage budgets

· Presenting costs reports against tender amounts (labour and materials)

· Preparing Tender packs for subcontractors

· Assess and compare subcontract tender submissions

· Manage, close out and sign off final accounts

· Date Centre/Healthcare/Hospitality Scope

· Monitoring site progress reports on a weekly basis

· Track and present contractual delay claims

· Implement cost control measures

· Oversee and value subcontractors’ payments

· Propose value engineering options

· Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project Progression

About You:

· Possess the ability to multi-task and maintain composure.

· Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.

· High level of competency in the use of MS Office packages.

· High level of IT Literacy.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Proven excellent standard of numeracy and literacy skills.

· Creative and innovative problem solver.

· Team player with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude.

 

Qualifications:

· Degree level qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline

 

Experience:

· Desirable to have 1 years’ experience in a similar role

 

Certifications:

· Full driver’s licence.
