Electrical Maintenance Supervisor
At MDE Installations we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. This position will be responsible for overseeing electrical maintenance operations at our esteemed client, Dupont.
Responsibilities:
Supervise a small team of electrical maintenance employees, ensuring efficient and effective execution of maintenance tasks.
Support and assist in electrical maintenance tasks.
Management of employee attendance and performance.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs in consultation with the client to minimise downtime and maximise equipment reliability.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential electrical issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Implement and adhere to the company safety culture to the highest standard.
Coordinate with the client’s management team to prioritise maintenance activities and address any urgent requirements.
Troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment, diagnosing faults and implementing appropriate corrective measures.
Collaborate with the procurement department to ensure the availability of necessary electrical supplies and spare parts.
Completion of job cost trackers and reporting to the management team.
Continuous engagement with the Management Team.
Support and implement HR strategies, initiatives and policies to align with the company culture.
Engagement with the client on potential additional projects.
Implementation of company initiatives, systems and policies.
Train and mentor maintenance staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Price electrical projects and submit costings to MDE Management for review. Once approved, then submit to Client.
Develop and win new business opportunities within DuPont to create sustainable, long term employment for the team.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or time served with 2 years post qualification experience.
One year of leading a team in an industrial/manufacturing setting
Proven experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and codes/regulations.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team.
Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical faults and implementing corrective actions.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance strategies and tools.
Ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring safety standards are met.
Confidence in use of IT systems and applications.
Positive and Enthusiastic attitude towards work.
The ability to work on own initiative
