Electrical Buyer & Store Person

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive Electrical Buyer and Stores Person to support our growing operations. This dual-role position covers purchasing, stock control, trade counter support, and assisting site teams to ensure materials, equipment and supplies are delivered efficiently and recorded accurately. You will play a key role in maintaining smooth operations across stores, sales and site activity

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage purchasing across the business, including trade counter materials, site stock and ad‑hoc departmental requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and source new suppliers when required.
  • Assist the commercial team by obtaining pricing for tenders.
  • Manage stock by receiving material lists, picking stock, and arranging deliveries.
  • Create new stock codes and maintain job, PO and stock trackers.
  • Maintain stock levels for the stores and trade counter, checking off deliveries and ensuring the workspace remains tidy.
  • Support the trade counter with pricing, customer advice, promotions and sales sheet updates.
  • Visit local sites, meet customers, and deliver materials when required.
  • Assist with vehicle runs, MOTs, and transporting or collecting materials as required.
  • Support general operational needs across stores, yard and materials handling.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Electrical knowledge or background
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Full UK Drivers Licence
  • Forklift Licence
  • Manual Handling (role will include lifting and handling material in a safe manner)
  • Strong Microsoft Package skills and adaptable to using different software packages
  • Experience with stock control or inventory systems such as SAGE
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Excellent Customer service skills
