Are you an organised and detail-oriented individual with a background in finance? MDE Installations are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our busy team in Omagh. In this role, you’ll support our finance operations, handling invoicing, reconciliations, payroll assistance, and more to help keep our accounts running smoothly.

The Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Assistant to join our team in Omagh. You will be responsible for supporting the finance function across areas such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

 

Location:
Omagh, UK

 

Hours of work:
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar finance role, including payroll

 

Responsibilities:

  • Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate entry on Sage
  • Analyse and enter credit card transactions
  • Create purchase orders
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Process sales invoices and carry out credit control
  • Complete bank reconciliations
  • Enter and reconcile petty cash transactions
  • Provide cover for key tasks across the finance team
  • Support monthly payroll submissions
  • Assist with pension scheme administration
  • Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies

 

Essential requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year’s experience in a finance or accounts assistant role
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

 

Desirable requirements:

  • Experience using Sage accounting software
  • Familiarity with payroll processing systems
