Our History
Founded in 1990, MDE Installations is a leading electrical contracting specialist across Ireland and the UK, directly employing over 200 highly skilled professionals. MDE Installations is renowned for its exceptional operational efficiency and commitment to sustainable business practices.
Our strong ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) focus has been a cornerstone of our success. Established MDE Installations in Omagh, Co. Tyrone.
1994
Hired first employee.
1995
First warehouse opened.
2000
Celebrated 10 years in business.
2001
Selected as Partner of Choice with NIE Networks.
2002
Due to continual growth, MDE moved to new office premises.
2004
Achieved Safe T Cert Grade A accreditation
2005
Certified to Quality Management Standard ISO9001 and the Environmental Management Standard ISO14001.
2006
Completed over 120 retail stores for Lidl GmbH across Ireland and the UK.
2009
Full installation of LIDL’s largest distribution depot in Ireland at Nutt’s Corner, Belfast.
2010
Celebrated 20 years in business.
2011
Completed 160 retail stores for LIDL GmbH throughout Ireland and the UK.
2012
Appointed onto the Multi-Supplier Framework Agreement for HSE’s sites.
2013
Partnered with AECOM Ireland and Irish Water to deliver new water treatment plants across Ireland and the UK.
2014
Appointed as Principal Contractor for numerous Iarnród Éireann projects in Ireland.
2015
Selected as Partner of Choice for ESB Wind Development Project
2018
New MDE Offices in Monaghan opened.
2018
Part of the Delivery Team on The Sharp Building, Dublin
2019
Successful application for Northern Ireland Water (NIW) Framework Agreement.
2019
One of three contractors to deliver The National Smart Metering Programme.
2019
Shortlisted for ‘Electrical Contractor of the Year’ and ‘Project of the Year' for Ireland's Electrical Awards.
