University of Ulster Coleraine
About this project
We were principal contractor to deliver electrical infrastructure replacement works at Ulster University’s Coleraine campus.
The University was able to continue its normal operation and teaching and research activities during the project due to our ability to schedule works around the requirements of a busy live educational setting.
We were required to manage shutdowns and minimise disruption during the project duration which we did efficiently and effectively using our previous experience in managing live projects of this nature.
Works included the plant replacement of low voltage sub switchboards and associated distribution boards. The project was completed through a combination of out-of-hours working and planned and scheduled shutdowns and switchovers.
As a live educational facility in a complex building we brought a number of innovative design solutions into play.
