At MDE, we are proud to announce that we have been awarded the electrical installation works for the Holy Family School development in Rathcoole, Dublin. This project is an excellent opportunity for us to contribute to the state-of-the-art educational facility that will benefit both current and future generations of students. 

The project involves the phased demolition and construction of a new school campus located on a 40,000m² site. The development will include a variety of new facilities, such as classrooms, a sports hall, temporary buildings, landscaped areas, and modern play areas. The phased construction approach will allow the existing school to remain operational throughout the process, minimising disruption for students and staff. 

As the electrical installation specialist on this project, MDE will be responsible for a comprehensive range of electrical services across the site. Our team will handle the installation of lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarms, and security systems, ensuring that the school’s operations are safe and efficient. Additionally, we will oversee the implementation of advanced systems such as CCTV, intruder alarms, door access controls, and public address systems to enhance security and communication across the campus. 

A key focus of this development is sustainability, and we’re pleased to be part of this forward-thinking project. MDE will be installing energy-efficient solutions, including photovoltaic panels, which will help reduce the school’s energy consumption and environmental footprint. We will also ensure that lightning protection systems are in place to safeguard the buildings and their occupants. 

The phased nature of the construction will require careful coordination to ensure all systems are installed on time and meet the highest standards of safety and performance.
