1. Smart Meter Installers – Nationwide – Apply

 As an MDE Installations Smart Meter Installer, you will be a key member of the MDE Installations team and will play a crucial role in The National Electrical Framework Programme by ensuring safe electric meter installs into domestic and commercial properties. Your key responsibilities are to provide excellent customer service to the client’s customers. Health & Safety is your No 1 priority while completing a quality job and meeting the required business / individual targets and KPI’s.

The Role:

Our team of Electricians is responsible for the installations and completion of required remedial works identified on-site. Upload all job details onto a handheld mobile field technology device on completion.

As an Approved Installer, you will be required to maintain first-class customer service and provide advice to the customer on the installed equipment. The Installer shall adhere to and maintain compliance with all MDE Installations Health and Safety procedures.

MDE has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Foreman to join our team, working on an exciting new project on the outskirts of Dublin. As the Electrical Working Foreman, you will be dealing with the client, design issues, and all subcontract elements of the contract working on the project from inception through to completion.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the role of an Electrical Foreman, you must hold an electrical qualification. A minimum of City & Guilds NVQ level 3 is required.

5 years of related experience required

You must be able to ensure that all work is completed on time, on budget and according to all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards

Ability to utilise, read, and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams for lighting, HVAC, fire alarm, telecommunications, technical security, and other electrical systems

Ability to develop multiple change orders to increase the projects overall profit margin

Ensure those code requirements, safety regulations and safe work practices are followed

Have the knowledge to train and instruct subordinates on detailed procedures

Thorough knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions

RESPONSIBILITIES

Undertake high-quality electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance work in accordance with current regulations.

Experience with commercial and industrial electrical, fire, and data installations.

Experience installing electrical containment and cabling

Ability to work independently or as part of a team taking instructions and carrying these through to complete installation works

MDE has a fantastic opportunity for experienced commercial & industrial Qualified Electricians to join our team on a new and exciting project on the outskirts of Dublin. These positions will suit fully qualified electricians with experience within the Industrial / Commercial sectors.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of City & Guilds NVG Level 3 is required.

A latest BS7671 (18th Edition) update and PASMA/IPAF would be an advantage.

Experience within commercial/industrial minimum of 3 years.

Must be able to demonstrate your experience, good knowledge, and also good working practices.

Conversant with RAMS and H&S regulations.

Must be able to work from verbal and written instruction, work alone, and/or as part of a team.

MDE has a fantastic opportunity for experienced Project Manager to join our team on a new and exciting project on the outskirts of Dublin. This position will suit a fully qualified Project Managers with experience within the Industrial / Commercial sectors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability to drive the design process in conjunction with the CM and client design team.

Progress and Cost monitoring of the project and reporting to the CM.

Management of day to day Health & Safety on site.

Management and planning of daily tasks in conjunction with site foremen.

Daily and weekly planning with Main Contractor’s management team.

Organising of daily/ weekly materials with Main Contractor’s management team.

Requesting/ organising permits with Main Contractor’s management team.

Issuing drawings to site and maintaining drawing registers accurately to ensure installing works are being completed to the latest drawings.

Quantifying of any additional works and issuing to CM for final costings.

Progress reporting based on Microsoft project programming.

CANDIDATE CRITERIA

Safe pass certified

SMSTS/SSSP management qualification

Proficient in CAD

Ability to provide precise cost reports to monitor financial performance

Ability to provide progress reports to monitor project progress using Microsoft Excel.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft project, to be able to provide short term programmes

Ability to manage a large team of operatives and to work along-side the foremen to manage site works.
