We are extremely proud to announce that our Health & Safety Management System, Safe-T-Cert has been accredited by the Construction Employers Federation in February 2018 and that we have maintained the highest possible grade (Grade A) for a third year running.
This grade demonstrates MDE’s long term commitment to ensuring the paramount safety of all our employees and that of any third parties that may be effected by our work practices.
The Safe-T-Cert accreditation which MDE has adopted, covers a wide variety of policies and procedures including a Training Matrix, Inductions, Toolbox Talks/Discussions, Site Rules, Emergency Procedures, PPE, PAT, Accident Reporting, Method Statements, Risk Assessments and many more.
The Health, Safety and Welfare of all our employees is at the forefront of MDE’s priorities and we believe that with the right attitude, positive culture and sufficient training, all work practices can be completed in a safe manner without the occurrence of injuries.
MDE has a ‘zero tolerance’ for poor safety and dangerous work practices. This is validated by regular and robust audits on all our sites to ensure standards are being maintained at all times. The commitment and dedication that senior management have towards Health and Safety has contributed to low accident statistics throughout the years.
MDE are proud to confirm that in the 20 years of operation, we have never experienced a serious accident, which is a great achievement for a company that is involved in the electrical industry.
Our latest audit, dated February 2018 stated ‘The company continues to manage health and safety in an highly efficient manner. Accreditation is maintained at the top level of ‘A’.
MDE has achieved 425,750 man-hours within the last 3 years without lost time injury over a various range of complex construction sites.
This accomplishment demonstrates the MDE Team’s working ability. Each and every employee across the sites and offices, takes full responsibility for their own safety and that of others, whilst ensuring that the highest standards of occupational health and safety management is implemented throughout all work practices.

MDE have been awarded the Meter Installation Contract by NIE Networks, which involves the replacing of meters throughout Northern Ireland.
Our team of fully qualified and competent engineers will visit your premises to complete this work. However, should you be unavailable at this time, our engineers will leave a card with a 24hr freephone number, which will allow you to make an appointment to replace your meter at a time that suits you.
All of our engineers working on behalf of NIE Networks will carry identification, wear identifiable uniforms and drive marked vehicles.

MD Electrical Ltd are proud to be supporting Marie Curie’s Walk to Remember, which is being held at the Ulster American Folk Park, Omagh at 7.30pm on Saturday 12th September 2015.
Marie Curie provide care and support for more than 2,500 people living with a terminal illness and their families in Northern Ireland each year. Nurses work night and day, in people’s homes, providing hands-on care and vital emotional support.
Marie Curie’s services are offered free of charge to people with any terminal illness, however, they need to raise around £3.5 million a year to fund hospices and nursing care in Northern Ireland.

MDE has continued its long standing commitment to charitable work by making a donation to Charis Integrated Cancer Care. Malachy Donnelly, Martin Conway and the MDE Team met with Teresa Mullan of Charis Integrated Cancer Care at the company headquarters to present the organisation with a cheque for £750.
Imelda McGucken, Centre Director for Charis Integrated Cancer Care remarked ‘Charis is a registered Charity and dependent on public financial support. It is only with your help and support that we can continue to provide these services and the charity is extremely grateful for your donation.’
MDE are pleased to announce its recent success in achieving impressive scores following our Achilles UVDB Category B2 Verify 2013-2014 Year 2 Audit.
This UVDB Verify audit and assessment was undertaken independently by an Accredited Achilles Auditor and provides a rigorous assessment and demonstration of compliance of MDE’s Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality risk procedures.
The audit process took place over a comprehensive one day site audit. The detailed assessment focused on evaluating MDE’s current site installation where site method statements, risk assessments, safe systems and site arrangements and procedures were assessed.

MDE are proud to announce the successful completion of works at Craigavon Area Hospital. Our scope of works was to provide a system that allows the centralisation of all the critical alarms at Craigavon Area Hospital, St Luke’s Hospital and South Tyrone Hospital & upgrade of reception area.
We are proud to announce the first edition of our company Newsletter. This will be circulated to all MDE personnel on a quarterly basis and will enable us to improve on our current lines of communication between our various offices and sites throughout Ireland and the UK.
